Clark proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. He later worked for the United States Postal Service for many years until his retirement. Clark married Betty Ann Hull on May 4, 1986, in Knoxville.
He is survived by his wife, Betty Ann Shelton of Galesburg; four children, Susan (John) Olson of Galesburg, Becky Lavely of Galesburg, Chris (Pat) Lavely of Hendersonville, Tennessee, and Marsha (Thomas) Dean of Knoxville; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and two siblings, Richard (Mel) Shelton of Sun City, Arizona, and Sue (Rick) Dechow of Abingdon.
Clark was preceded in death by his parents.
He was interested in all of life's happenings. A quote from his grandson, Zack Dean: "He crossed Chuck Norris."
